A FREE PMML FAMILY PROGRAM:
In 1903, brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright changed the world with the invention of the first successful airplane. But they didn’t stop there! Ever since then, engineers have thought of and tested countless ideas to make planes go faster, fly higher, and do more than ever before.
Airplanes play an important part in the history of the U.S. military, and some of the most inspiring pilots in that history are the WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots). These women trained other pilots and tested and transported aircraft during World War II, before women were allowed to serve in most roles in the military. Join us in person on Saturday, June 10th at 11:00 AM (CST) to learn more about their heroic service. Then, become an airplane engineer by using the principles of flight to design and test-fly your own paper airplanes!
